Classic tyres
Gummistrada is the proud supplier of Pirelli vintage tyres.
Pirelli has a rich history of producing high-performance tyres for classic cars. The Stella Bianca is a notable high-performance Crossply tyre in the Pirelli Collection, originally used on vintage Ferrari and Maserati models. Another classic, the Pirelli Stelvio, was a high-performance racing tyre, made in special sizes for the Ferrari 250 GTO.
In 1952, Pirelli introduced the CINTURATO™ CA67 tyres, which became a significant milestone. The Fiat 500 from 1957 featured the unique 125SR12 Cinturato CN54. Pirelli continued to innovate with the CINTURATO™ CN72, the largest tyre capable of V speed rating, and the low-profile CINTURATO™ CN36 tyres introduced in 1968.
The CINTURATO™ CN12, released in 1971, was fitted to the Lamborghini Miura SV. Porsche began using 60% profile CINTURATO™ CN36 tyres on the rear of the 911 Carrera RS in 1973. In 1974, Pirelli introduced the incredibly low-profile CINTURATO™ P7.
During the 1970s, Jaguar commissioned Pirelli to create the P5 for its luxury saloons. Today, Pirelli Collezione continues to produce the P700-Z for the Audi Quattro and the P-Zero performance tyres for various supercars.
